It occurred abruptly: The lifeless started to rise and Japan was thrown into whole chaos. As these monsters start terrorizing a highschool, Takashi Kimuro is compelled to kill his greatest pal when he will get bitten and joins the ranks of the strolling lifeless. Vowing to guard Rei Miyamoto, the girlfriend of the man he simply executed, they narrowly escape their death lure of a school, solely to be greeted with a society that has already fallen.

Soon, Takashi and Rei band along with different college students on a journey to seek out their members of the family and uncover what prompted this overwhelming pandemic. Becoming a member of them is Saeko Busujima, the stunning president of the Kendo Membership; Kouta Hirano, an otaku with a fetish for firearms; Saya Takagi, the daughter of an influential politician; and Shizuka Marikawa, their hot school nurse. However will the mixed power of these people be sufficient to beat this undead apocalypse?
